About Me

Craig Lizak is a lifestyle photographer based in Barrington, IL a northwest suburb of Chicago, specializing in dance photography and videography. He works closely with ballet and dance companies, as well as high school dance teams and orchesis programs, capturing the energy, artistry, and emotion of movement.

Craig’s passion for dance photography began with filming and photographing his daughters’ dance recitals at their local studio. That early inspiration grew into a deeper commitment to the craft, and he went on to refine his skills through mentorship with renowned dance photographer Ron McKinney. Today, Craig continues to shoot alongside Ron as a secondary photographer when needed.

Craig’s work is defined by his ability to freeze moments of grace, power, and expression—preserving the artistry of dance through a thoughtful and creative lens.
